How does this work? Fitness enthusiasts from across the world are logging on to get pumped up. For as low as a few dollars per week, online gym memberships allow members to sign up for yoga, Pilates, aerobics, martial arts, cardio sessions, kickboxing, step aerobics, jazz dance, and other exercise instructional videos as well as nutritional advice and suggestions on living a healthy lifestyle. It is somewhat fascinating to think that you could be doing the same workout at the same time as someone in Beijing or Rome or Sydney. These types of gyms boast being open 24/7, having worldwide and unlimited access, no waiting for classes, working around your own life and time, and having access to tools that can help better and track your health. These sites help set up a fitness plan for you based on information that you supply, such as finding out your body mass index (BMI), measurements, and other such information and then customizing your plan. As advertised by these sites and on many of their tv commercials, there are some wonderful benefits to having the option of an online gym. For the self conscious gym attendee who skips out on workout sessions due to the fact that they feel shameful about their physical appearance or intimidated by others who workout, online gyms allow anyone and everyone to workout in the comfort of their own home. Not only can you workout at home, you can workout anytime that you wish. There is no need to drive to a gym. This is especially helpful if you live too far from a place that has a gym. People that live in rural areas or small towns without gym facilities are without excuse. Workout instructors are literally available anywhere, anytime. There is also no need to worry about gas or weather or even finding a babysitter to get away and go to the gym. This way, you can wait until the kids are taking a nap or asleep for the night or happily occupied doing something else (or they can participate with you if they are interested). But, are online gyms a little too good to be true? Maybe. But maybe not. Unless you have access to your own weights, there is definitely an aspect of working out that is being neglected. Weight training is a key part of a total body workout and necessary for the complete health of your body to maintain or improve. As well, there is a social aspect to going to the gym that is somewhat important. Having contact with other people, having someone to encourage you in your workouts, and getting out of the house and going somewhere else to workout are three important pieces of keeping yourself healthy beyond the physical. Being inside your own home all of the time is not healthy. This type of workout fuels the freshly blazing fire of living a life void of (or with as little) human interaction as possible. It also emphasizes the trend in our culture of individualizing everything, giving the consumer what they want when they want it without having to deal with anyone. This could be considered a benefit and a detriment at the same time. By using an online gym, you also run the risk of not having certified instruction. Though many online gyms boast of having certified instructors, there are other online gyms that do not and it can be quite hard to tell the difference. Even if a gym claims to have certified instructors, you can not be certain. This can be potentially hazardous to you physically if you do not attain proper warm up or cool down instructions or if you follow exercise instruction that you are not prepared to take part in. This has the potential to be remedied with gyms that offer online personal trainers, but in reality, it cannot be guaranteed. Often these online gyms offer health and nutrition information, but the fine print on all of these websites warns that a medical professional should be consulted before making any major lifestyle changes. For anyone who plans to make a major lifestyle change that could press the limits of your body, consulting your family physician is a good place to start. It may be convenient to workout at home, and if that is the only way to get a workout, then what a fantastic help to keeping your life in balance. The important factor involved in all of this is that you are maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.

Real Womens Air Jordan 5 Oreo,Air Jordan 5 Fire Red Black Tongue 2013 Bend's Mike Dudley left most the runners in the 10 kilometer division of Saturday's George Wilson Memorial race in a figurative fog. start of the post Thanksgiving race run in Wilson's honor, but Dudley raced far enough ahead to make it hard for those following to see him. Held at Madras High School, the Wilson race drew a crowd of more than 60 people, plus some canine participants, to its final run after 17 years. Running the first three miles of the out and back course strongly established a comfortable lead for Dudley. His lead of more than a minute kept growing over the second half of the 10K course. Dudley was even catching some of the two mile participants on his way back. Dudley's 31 minute, 35 second (31:35) time had him three minutes ahead of second place Sean Nixon's 34:40. Ten other men followed the 30 39 male division leaders but Jeanette Groesz beat a handful of the men in the race in winning the women's division. Groesz not only was the fastest woman in the 10K race, her 45:00 time was 12th overall and landed her the title in the women's 50 and older age group. Saturday's two mile racers couldn't keep up with the two teenagers who led the pack. Redmond's Max Foster, a competitor at Redmond High, won the shorter race with a time of 12:09. He was closely pursued by Ryan Berning from Mount Angel, who finished in 12:30. The leaders beat third and fourth place finishers Dave Swift and Dr. Porfirio Pea, who were first and second in the men's 19 and older division. Dudley established an early lead in the 10K race which made it difficult for even Nixon to see him on the second half of the route, Nixon said. "It was a good day to run. There was a head wind on the way back, but it was very slight and the course was mainly downhill after the turnaround area. The wind seemed like it was maybe three or four miles per hour, at the most. I could tell I was faster on the way back than the way out," Dudley said. He had run on Grizzly Road before, said Dudley, but he didn't remember running quite so far on the dirt. Running in better weather might have made the distance seem shorter, added Dudley. Runners went just over a mile each way on the dirt portion of Grizzly Road on Saturday, said Dudley. A member of Oregon's National Guard, Dudley had the road to himself once Nixon, also from Bend, dropped back, a mile or so into the race. He did not recall the exact record, said race director Dan Ahern, who assembled the event in Wilson's honor starting in 1986, but he was "pretty sure" Dudley broke that record. Though experiencing slight chilling from running into the wind on the return portion of their races, many competitors, from both the 10K and two mile divisions, said they were trying to get done and probably ran the second half of the event faster than the first half. Dudley's 5:16 per mile speed was the day's fastest by nearly 45 seconds a mile. Foster's 12:09 put him at 6:05 per mile while Berning, one of Ahern's nephews, used 6:15 to cover each mile he ran. The event two days after Thanksgiving drew a number of family groups, including at least a couple families who won a top prize in varied categories. Groesz was actually second in her family across the 10K finish line even though being the fastest woman. Her husband Bill was fast enough to cover the course in 44:27 but had to settle for second in the men's 50 and over category to Robert Towne. Michelle Groesz had given her parents a tough act to follow with a 17:34 which won the women's division of the two mile race, along with the 19 and over category. Ryan Berning posed a similar challenge to his mother with his second in the overall two mile race, but Jo Ann Berning went one spot better than her son in winning the women's 40 49 group of the 10K race, in 50:01. Charlie Mallon, at 22:51, and Kelsi Kemper, with a 24:32 time, beat the other boys and girls in the two mile race for those who are 8 or less, by running with their mothers and other relatives. The 9 13 division winners for girls and boys were Krissi Kemper, with a 21:15, and Jordy Mallon, with a 15:56. Fastest of the young women and men who ran in the 14 18 group were Jessi Fuentes, with her 30:40, and Foster. Swift and Groesz won the men's and women's two mile race, but Marie Mallon and Kathy Kemper were second and third in the women's two mile run. Brooke Alexander was the women's 20 29 age group winner in a time of 55:30. The Madras High graduate raced for Eastern Oregon in the 2000 and 2001 seasons but said she has given up sports to focus on graduating this year. She is also a past winner of the George Wilson scholarship. Maria Randle's 52:58 won the women's 30 39 category in the 10K racing while Berning and Groesz were the other women's winners in the 10K racing. David Harding of the Portland area took the men's 40 49 title in the 10K race with a 37:50 time. He had celebrated Thanksgiving with family in Bend and was headed home but wanted to run Saturday. Once sponsored by Nike, Harding is now part of the Oregon Masters' program and was fifth. Only the 30 39 and 20 29 winners and runners ups could beat his 37:50. Air Jordan 5 Oreo It's story time! Imagine a weary, aching journalist walking through an enormous showroom at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Showcase in Las Vegas. This poor fellow spent the last several hours looking at countless gadgets and displays. But then something catches his eye. It's the Human Touch HT 7450 Zero Gravity Massage Chair, a recipient of a 2008 Innovations Design and Engineering award. So he set down a bag of press kits, removed his shoes and took a seat on the award winning chair. His legs snuggled into two concave indentations on the leg rest. His head settled against a cushioned head rest. A helpful booth attendant gave him a smile and pressed a button on a remote control. The chair immediately began to recline. He experienced an odd sensation it felt almost as if the chair would dump him on his head. Perhaps he had fallen prey to some sort of torture device designed to punish weary convention visitors. But worries soon melted away. And along with them went the tension and stiffness accumulated after walking for miles along aisles of electronics. The massage chair used rollers, air bags, heat pads and vibrating surfaces to ease his aches and pains. The massage routine lasted for several minutes before returning him to an upright (but very relaxed) position. The journalist put his shoes back on, picked up his bag of press kits and made his way back to his hotel. While Human Touch says the HT 7450 as the world's first zero gravity massage chair, other manufacturers offer their own zero gravity models. But what is it that makes these massage chairs zero gravity? Do they hover? Do they provide the user with a sense of weightlessness? Is it just a clever marketing gimmick? We'll find out in the next section. The Cost of Comfort Human Touch lists the suggested retail price for the HT 7450 as $3,999. The Zero Gravity Massage Chair from Sanyo will cost you $4,999. It seems relaxation isn't cheap.
