Real Womens Air Jordan 5 Oreo,Air Jordan 5 Fire Red Black Tongue 2013 Bend's Mike Dudley left most the runners in the 10 kilometer division of Saturday's George Wilson Memorial race in a figurative fog. start of the post Thanksgiving race run in Wilson's honor, but Dudley raced far enough ahead to make it hard for those following to see him. Held at Madras High School, the Wilson race drew a crowd of more than 60 people, plus some canine participants, to its final run after 17 years. Running the first three miles of the out and back course strongly established a comfortable lead for Dudley. His lead of more than a minute kept growing over the second half of the 10K course. Dudley was even catching some of the two mile participants on his way back. Dudley's 31 minute, 35 second (31:35) time had him three minutes ahead of second place Sean Nixon's 34:40. Ten other men followed the 30 39 male division leaders but Jeanette Groesz beat a handful of the men in the race in winning the women's division. Groesz not only was the fastest woman in the 10K race, her 45:00 time was 12th overall and landed her the title in the women's 50 and older age group. Saturday's two mile racers couldn't keep up with the two teenagers who led the pack. Redmond's Max Foster, a competitor at Redmond High, won the shorter race with a time of 12:09. He was closely pursued by Ryan Berning from Mount Angel, who finished in 12:30. The leaders beat third and fourth place finishers Dave Swift and Dr. Porfirio Pea, who were first and second in the men's 19 and older division. Dudley established an early lead in the 10K race which made it difficult for even Nixon to see him on the second half of the route, Nixon said. "It was a good day to run. There was a head wind on the way back, but it was very slight and the course was mainly downhill after the turnaround area. The wind seemed like it was maybe three or four miles per hour, at the most. I could tell I was faster on the way back than the way out," Dudley said. He had run on Grizzly Road before, said Dudley, but he didn't remember running quite so far on the dirt. Running in better weather might have made the distance seem shorter, added Dudley. Runners went just over a mile each way on the dirt portion of Grizzly Road on Saturday, said Dudley. A member of Oregon's National Guard, Dudley had the road to himself once Nixon, also from Bend, dropped back, a mile or so into the race. He did not recall the exact record, said race director Dan Ahern, who assembled the event in Wilson's honor starting in 1986, but he was "pretty sure" Dudley broke that record. Though experiencing slight chilling from running into the wind on the return portion of their races, many competitors, from both the 10K and two mile divisions, said they were trying to get done and probably ran the second half of the event faster than the first half. Dudley's 5:16 per mile speed was the day's fastest by nearly 45 seconds a mile. Foster's 12:09 put him at 6:05 per mile while Berning, one of Ahern's nephews, used 6:15 to cover each mile he ran. The event two days after Thanksgiving drew a number of family groups, including at least a couple families who won a top prize in varied categories. Groesz was actually second in her family across the 10K finish line even though being the fastest woman. Her husband Bill was fast enough to cover the course in 44:27 but had to settle for second in the men's 50 and over category to Robert Towne. Michelle Groesz had given her parents a tough act to follow with a 17:34 which won the women's division of the two mile race, along with the 19 and over category. Ryan Berning posed a similar challenge to his mother with his second in the overall two mile race, but Jo Ann Berning went one spot better than her son in winning the women's 40 49 group of the 10K race, in 50:01. Charlie Mallon, at 22:51, and Kelsi Kemper, with a 24:32 time, beat the other boys and girls in the two mile race for those who are 8 or less, by running with their mothers and other relatives. The 9 13 division winners for girls and boys were Krissi Kemper, with a 21:15, and Jordy Mallon, with a 15:56. Fastest of the young women and men who ran in the 14 18 group were Jessi Fuentes, with her 30:40, and Foster. Swift and Groesz won the men's and women's two mile race, but Marie Mallon and Kathy Kemper were second and third in the women's two mile run. Brooke Alexander was the women's 20 29 age group winner in a time of 55:30. The Madras High graduate raced for Eastern Oregon in the 2000 and 2001 seasons but said she has given up sports to focus on graduating this year. She is also a past winner of the George Wilson scholarship. Maria Randle's 52:58 won the women's 30 39 category in the 10K racing while Berning and Groesz were the other women's winners in the 10K racing. David Harding of the Portland area took the men's 40 49 title in the 10K race with a 37:50 time. He had celebrated Thanksgiving with family in Bend and was headed home but wanted to run Saturday.
