A survey of bookshops selling school books in many parts of the city revealed that textbooks for many classes are not available. Sources said this year, syllabi of class 3rd and 7th standards have changed and hence books of these classes are yet to be made available in the bookstores.Interestingly, Balbharti had allowed mistakes to creep into the 10th class textbooks. However, when the education department came to know about this, it had alerted Balbharti to reprint the books, informed a source in the education department.Owners and sales staff in some of the shops selling schoolbooks said they are yet to get adequate stock from Balbharti, which is the book publishers, to whom the government had franchised the printing of textbooks. In a Sitabuldi shop, a shopkeeper pointed out that he had ordered for 20,000 copies of textbooks for various classes and was supplied only about 10,000. "Parents blame us for shortage of textbooks but the ones to be blamed are the government's publishers," he said. Many schools said there should be no real reason for shortage of textbooks because the syllabus has remained unchanged. Ritesh, a Std III student, said: "I'm not sure if I will get books before my school reopens on June 23."Says a worried parent, Sheela Gupte: "The practice of schools supplying textbooks directly to students should be reimplemented. Sadly, children get punished for not bringing textbooks."Shopkeepers also blamed that Balbharti is concentrating more on supplying books to government schools. From this academic year, all students from class I to Class VIII in government run schools would get textbooks free of cost.Says Vinod Nangia, owner of a bookshop in Sadar: "Though I have stock, I fear of shortage of stocks in near future."Sources in education department said that the Balbharti had distributed 85% of textbooks in government schools and remaining distribution would be completed soon.According to officials in Balbharti, there has been a delay in the printing of textbooks, "but soon most shops will be getting stocks and by early next week no student will be without books". It's to be seen if the promise is kept.About usAdvertise with usTerms of Use and Grievance Redressal PolicyPrivacy policyFeedbackLiving and entertainment. This classic work to play staple comes in many shapes and textures. The heel can be slender and tapered or sturdy and chunky, and rise from a couple of inches to even greater heights. The sole either keeps the ball of your foot close to the ground or elevates into a platform. The toe can be open or closed, and the ankle or top of the foot can be adorned with straps. Pump materials span a wide range from basic leather to a patent sheen, ladylike tweed to sumptuous suede, croc embossed to silky satin and more. The pump's versatility and timeless style make this a go to shoe for a wide range of outfits. A pointy toe pump can peek out from the legs of a pantsuit while a platform pump with a stacked heel coordinates well with wide leg slacks. Slingback pumps dress up a tailored skirt suit. Leather spectator heels are a preppy cool accompaniment to white linen pants and a country club cardigan. Stilettos and skinny jeans form the basis for a night on the town when topped with a silky blouse and a sleek clutch. Pumps can even go casual with shorts and a pullover. Whereas a pump epitomizes feminine style in the office, a plimsoll tells you it's casual day. This is the basic sneaker that predates fancy trainers with superstar athlete endorsements. It begins with a canvas upper that comes in a rainbow of colors and shapes around the foot with saddle stitching. Add a simple pair of laces on top and rubber edging along the sole, often in a neutral color such as white or black. These shoes are kind to your feet, with flexible flat soles and a lightweight construction that keep your movements natural. The unisex plimsoll evokes cruising the coast on a catamaran or running across a park on a warm spring day. Guys can pair the shoes with as little as shorts and a T shirt or with khakis and a button down. Plimsolls work with jeans and a tee or as a dose of casual for dress slacks and a pullover sweater. Women can add the shoes to a short, breezy summer dress or dress them down with shorts and a V neck tee. If you want a comfortable casual shoe to swap out for your pumps on the subway, stuff plimsolls in your bag. Women Nike Free Run 2 Blue White Wolf Grey,Nobody could argue anything other than the Apple iPhone was the best new cell phone released in 2007. Incredible design, off the wall looks, marketing and usability. The iPhone re wrote the book on mobile phones and many of the newer phones like iphone 4 coming on the market are attempting to copy or better Apples design. But possibly one of the best features of the iPhone is the frankly incredible range of accessories like iPhone 4 Protective Case 4 proteivg made by jbout every manufacturer on the planet. Every one wants a piece of the iPhone. Iphone 4 protective cases are a case in point (sic). But which is the best iphone 4 protective case? And more importantly, which case will do the best job of protecting your shiny new iPhone while maintaining its usability and looks? smart chis onmes complete with a padded neoprene interior and encloses the iPhone in a high grade aluminum shell. The case has openings for the display screen, keyboard and other features, and is available in five colors puke green, revolting magenta, sickly sky blue, sensible silver and the ever practical plain old black. The list price on these is $39.95, but the last time I checked, Amazon had several for around eight bucks. Much cheaper than a new screen. Next up is the Speck TechStyle Classic Leather iPhone Protective Cases protectood qualityther, well stiched together with a plaid interior, although, lets face it who cares what the inside of the case looks like? This is a good quality case though. Included is a custom holster swivel belt clip to allow purse snatchers easier access. One of the good things about the case is it allows full access to all the controls. A nice looking case that will do a good job of protecting the iPhone. Suggested price for this is around thirty dollars and it tends not to be as heavily discounted as some of the other cases. 3. Speck Black Gel Skin Holster What I like about this one is that fact that they sensibly give you the option of removing the belt clip. Having a large, expensive piece of portable technology clipped to your belt allowing any would be thief to help themselves may be OK in some areas, but in certain parts of the country, its probably not such a great idea. 'It looks a little clunky, but provides very good protection and, as with all these cases, you can face the screen inward for more protection, although that rather defeats the object of buying a case like this in the first place.

"We rode that wave of momentum to victory," said Northwestern Coach Randy Walker, whose 'Cats are now bowl eligible at 6 3 (4 2 Big Ten). "We just made play after play. "It's one of those things that it's really good when it happens to you. It's really bad when you're on the other side of it." It's really, really bad for the Hawkeyes. It goes beyond a soggy lunch and a five hour bus trip. It's season on the brink bad. It's two games left for bowl eligibility or face staying home for the holidays, lifting weights and running around in shorts. It's blank stares, empty answers and dead silent locker room. "There's no adjective I can say that's printable," center Brian Ferentz said. "Losing sucks. Doesn't matter how you lose, losing sucks." Running back Albert Young rushed 38 times for 202 yards, the best day by an Iowa back since Tavian Banks rushed for 314 yards against Tulsa in 1997. He had career highs in attempts, yards and all purpose yards. He scored two touchdowns. He passed 1,000 yards for the season with 1,070. Asked to comment on all that great stuff, Young wasn't in the mood. "It doesn't mean anything to me," he said. "We lost. We're not going to a bowl as of yet. That hurts." NU freshman Tyrell Sutton scored on a 2 yard run with 2:10 left to pull the Cats within 27 21. Kicker Joel Howells booted the perfect onside kick, with the ball bounding over Iowa's hands team and reserve safety Reggie McPherson recovering at Iowa's 47. The 'Cats needed six plays, including a 15 yard late hit penalty on linebacker Chad Greenway, to set up Basanez's 9 yard TD toss to Ross Lane that gave NU a 28 27 lead with 42 seconds left. "It (the last 3 1/2 minutes) went by fast," free safety Marcus Paschal said. "It was a heartbreaker." Iowa moved the ball to Northwestern's 48, but on fourth and 13 with 8 seconds left, Herb Grigsby dropped a pass from Drew Tate, touching off a celebration for the clump of Northwestern fans, who were outnumbered by Iowa fans at the end of the game. "All the years I've been in football, you play all 60 minutes," Walker said. "I told the kids that at halftime. I knew it wasn't falling on deaf ears." "I told the kids that at halftime. I knew it wasn't falling on deaf ears." Two weeks ago, the Hawks went into the Michigan game a 23 20 overtime loss 35 0 when leading after three quarters dating to 2002. They're now 0 for their last 2. "There's not a lot you can say," Iowa Coach Kirk Ferentz said. "I thought we played extremely hard. I don't think we could've played any harder. We knew a week ago, Northwestern was a team you had to play a full 60 minutes against. We weren't quite able to get the job done. "We've got a helluva challenge ahead of us now. It's going to be tough to bounce back tomorrow. We won't bounce back by tomorrow, but somehow by Tuesday we've got to get our sights on our next football game." Iowa did everything right for 56 1/2 minutes. The Hawkeyes picked off Basanez twice. They held NU's offense, the 20th in the nation at 34.6 points a game, to 14 points. They controlled tempo, converting 6 of 15 third downs and holding the ball for more than half the game. They made the 'Cats one dimensional on offense, with Basanez completing 31 of 51 passes for 338 yards, two TDs and two interceptions. Northwestern rushed just 31 times for 115 yards, 3.7 yards a carry. The Hawkeyes had the better offense and the better defense for 56 1/2 minutes. But only the final 3 1/2 minutes mattered.
