But knowing how Bill Watterson feels about the merchandising and how hard he fought it, I won be buying. I even might think it wrong that someone is profiting off of his work, when he receives nothing, and doesn want it for sale in that form in the first place..

Basic Tool and Die Making This article is intended to introduce basic tool making knowledge to junior toolmakers, die maintenance and press technicians. We will first define what is a stamping die and difference type of stamping dies exists in the market. Step by step introduce die component and it function and application. It will also discuss some terminologies use in the stamping industries such as cutting, forming, lancing, ironing operations etc. Basically, Stamping operation is a cold working operation, which mean that, it runs under room temperature and no heat was introduced to the entire operation intentionally. However, heat is still generated from friction during the punching process. As such, proper lubricant needs to be applied during the stamping operation to reduces heat and wear rate of die members. A stamping die is usually consists of a serious of precision punches and dies that cuts and forms sheet metal into a desired shape or profile within a specified dimension zone. The die members (punch and die) are typically made from special types of hardened tool steel. In some cases, die members are made of special material called carbide to prolong tool life and enable it to runs in much higher speed. ( 800 1,500 spm in some cases) A typical die set design can be seen on Figure 1. Name of Tooling components: 1. Top Die shoe 2. Top thrust plate 3. Punch holder plate or punch plate 4. Punch 5. Stripper backing plate ( some tools without this plate) 6. Stripper plate 7. Die plate 8. Die backing plate 9. Lower Die shoe 10. Guide pillar and bush The part that the Die produced is called a piece part. eg. A key, a coin, soft drink can etc. Usually, a Die can produces 1 part per cycle ( Stroke ) but some Dies can produces more than one piece part per cycle and runs as fast as 1500 strokes per minute with close tolerances up to +/ 0.05mm ( 0.0019 inch ). Types of stamping Die. There are many kinds of stamping dies exist in the market, all of which perform a few basic operations, either cutting, forming, bending, drawing or all of them. The Die can be runs manually ( manual loading and unloading of piece part ) or automatically. The automatic Die we called a Progressive Die. Which consists of many operations within a Die. is perhaps the most common operation performed in a stamping die. The component to be cut is placing in between the punch and die. Desired shape and form is cut after two members bypass each other. Usually, the Die is bigger than the punch to allow smooth enter of the punch. The sizes difference between the punch and die are called the cutting clearance. Cutting clearances change with respect to the type of cutting operation being performed, the metal's properties, and the desired edge condition of the piece part. The cutting clearance often is expressed as a percentage of the metal's thickness. Different clearances applied to different material thickness and different type of material to be punched. The most common cutting clearance used is about 5 percent per side of the metal's thickness. In general, the harder the material the bigger the cutting clearance will be applied. Example 1. . A steel sheet of 1mm thickness ( 0.0393 inch ). Cutting clearance 5%. Cutting clearance = 1mm ( 0.0393 inch ) x 0.05 = 0.05mm per side ( 0.00196 inch ) Example 2. A Brass sheet of 1 mm thickness ( 0.0393 inch ). Cutting clearance = 4% Cutting clearance = 1mm ( 0.0393 inch ) x 0.04 = 0.04mm per side ( 0.0015748 inch ) High force is needed to perform the cutting operation. In general, the force required to perform the cutting operation we called it punching force and can be calculated as follow: 599581 010 Air Jordan 3Lab5 Black Infrared 23 ,342132 061 Air Jordan 1 Retro High Strap Black Red 580775 160 Air Jordan III Retro White Cement 3s 2013 136064 103 Nike Air Jordan 3 III Retro Pure Money White Metallic Silver 528895 033 Air Jordan 11 Retro Low Green Snakeskin Black Nightshade White Volt 656503 010 Air Jordan Future Black Black White Air Jordan 5 3Lab5 Air Jordan 14 Retro White Sport Red Black 402297 001 Air Jordan 1 KO High QS Black Varsity Red White Air Jordan Spizike Challenge Red Harris Stadium. "We've been having to buy other boneless cuts and different meats since the prices started rising," she said. Ms McKenry's local butcher Brendon Watts has been trying to find other pieces of meat that will suit her budget. Mr Watts, who owns Brendon's Quality Meats in East Doncaster, estimated he had probably absorbed 30 per cent of the price increase, "instead of passing it on to the consumer". But wholesalers such as Theo Kotsabakidis have little to fall back on as butchers reduce their orders. He said his South Melbourne business had lost $22,000 since January. "I was delivering about 400 lambs a day at this time last year and now I'm delivering about 200 a day," he said. "If the situation doesn't improve I will seriously consider getting out." Deputy Prime Minister John Anderson said consumers had been used to cheap, high quality food and were now "feeling a little bit of the pain of the drought". "I'd be sorry if people gave up eating lamb," he said. "It seems expensive but it is still cheaper than to take the family out to Macca's on a Sunday." The Australian Bureau of Statistics said lamb and mutton prices rose 5.7 per cent in the year to June. The only other foods to post a larger gain were poultry and fruit. Lamb prices have risen 82 per cent in the past decade. Sheepmeat Council of Australia executive director Bernie O'Sullivan urged shoppers to "hang in there with lamb", saying the price should drop when new season lambs came on to the market in mid spring.

Online Womens 599581 010 Air Jordan 3Lab5 Black Infrared 23,Nike Air Foamposite Pro BUFFALO, NY The man who pled guilty for his involvement in a fatal hit and run accident near the Broadway Market last fall is headed to prison. Michael Held, 32, was sentenced Thursday morning to 2 1/3 to 7 years for leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. The October 2nd crash claimed the life of 48 year old April Smith of Sweet Avenue in Buffalo. Smith, the mother of seven children, also left behind six grandchildren. Police monitoring auto parts and repair shops, were able to arrest Held three weeks after the incident. "It's unfortunate that the maximum sentence the court can impose is 2 1/3rd to seven years, for what you have done," said Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case, while passing sentence. Prior to hearing his sentence Held told the court, "I want to apologize to the Smith family, for the accident that happened on October 2nd, and I just hope, God willing, that they can forgive me." It appears for at least one of April Smith's surviving children, that such forgiveness may not be forthcoming right away. "I ask God every day to give me the strength to forgive Mr. Held, not for him but for me," Smith's daughter Theresa told the court. "Those prayers have not been answered yet," she said. Outside the courtroom Smith's brother, Langston Alston, expressed frustration with the sentence. "It's not fair," said Alston, who himself was recently released from prison. "I spent 23 years in for assault, and he murdered somebody. When you leave someone to die, that's a murder. That's not just a simple vehicular accident. He killed my sister, and drove away, and left her to die," Alston said. "As has often been said, we don't enforce the laws as we wish they were written, we enforce the laws as they are written," said Erie County District Attorney Frank Sedita. While sympathizing with the Smith family, Sedita noted that Held plead guilty to the charge facing him, and received the maximum sentence for it. "In that sense there was no plea bargaining here," Sedita said. Asked by WGRZ TV whether prosecutors could have tried to present more serious charges to a Grand Jury, instead of accepting a plea to resolve the matter, Sedita said the case lacked the needed evidence to do so. Noting that it was three weeks before police caught up to Held, and without proof whether he was drunk at the time of the incident, Sedita says they couldn't press Manslaughter charges. As well, according to Sedita, the case lacked needed evidence to pursue more serious charges involving recklessness. If if you can prove that they existed in addition to the accident, then you might have recklessness," Sedita said. Sedita also insists that despite Held having four prior convictions, including felonies, that it was doubtful that a judge would have classified him a Persistent Felony Offender under state law, a designation which could have put him behind bars for up to 25 years. Instead, with time already served, Held could possibly be out in as little as two years. Click on the video player to watch our story from and Photojournalist Bob Mancuso. The following is a compilation of various ways that can help parents become better role models for their kids. In terms of nurturing children, the most common comment is to show your love and concern. Tell them you love them every day and show affection daily through hugs, kisses and touches. In spite of busy schedules, make time for special family fun activities. Also make the effort to meet your child's friends to build stronger rapport with them and to gauge the influence they exert on your kids. As the saying goes, "Understand don't take a stand." Communication is vital and should always be a two way street. Listen to your kids and find out what's going on in their lives and if anything is bothering them. Let them know that they can talk to you about anything under the sun. It is important to remember that children who have good communication with their parents are more likely to ask for their advice than turn to their peers. Parents constantly demand respect from their children, but remember that is it is not something that can be taken for granted. Like most things of real value, respect has to be earned. And oftentimes, the best way to earn respect is to give respect. This also means that you have to learn to empathize, to put yourself in your kid's shoes and understand what it means to be him. And always try to avoid putting your children in situations where they feel disregarded, disrespected, humiliated or embarrassed. Such situations can sometimes leave deep emotional scars. Remember that you have to teach your children to respect themselves as well. Teach them to stand up for themselves without putting their safety at risk. Discuss ways to solve problems without fighting. Make them aware that fighting never solves a problem. Most importantly, advise them that physical force or intimidation does not win respect, rather, it is the quality of one's character that wins respect.
